Director, San Diego, Operations This West Coast company is a leader in the development and commercialization of innovative therapeutic products for cancer based on gene therapy technologies. The Director, San Diego Operations will be responsible for strategic and day to day management of the manufacturing group as well as matrix management oversight as Site Head, for Quality Assurance, Analytical Services, Process Development and Facilities. As a key member of the Leadership Team you will be expected to participatewith other members in determing the overall strategy for supporting the company’s production needs from clinical trial phases to commercial operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 – 15 years experience in manufacturing, including biotechnology manufacturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role. They will also have extensive knowledge and experience in managing late stage clinical and/or commercial operations and experience in scale up and technology transfer.
