Director, Formulations/Process
Development This Pennsylvania based
emerging, innovative drug delivery company possesses two novel, enabling
technologies that have the ability to enhance the rate of solubility of
insoluble compounds, controlling the speed and timing of drug release,
increasing the bioavailability of select compounds, and, efficiently provide
for the site-specific delivery. The Director, Formulation
/ Process Development will be responsible for trouble shooting and the
optimization of new product formulation and processes. Specifically, he/she will work on
formulation / process development projects from initial prototype development
through transfer to a manufacturing site.
The Director will work closely with Quality Assurance and Analytical
Development to develop formulations and master batch records for new
controlled or sustained releases products. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D.
in pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacy or related area with ten
plus years of direct drug development experience with ethical drug
products. An expertise in oral,
controlled / sustained release dosage development form is desired. Experience is also required with high shear
mixers, fluid bed dryers, spray dryers, Wuster column coating, and standard
