Director, Formulation / Process Development This East-Coast emerging,
innovative drug delivery company has two novel, enabling technologies that
have the ability to enhance the rate of solubility of insoluable compounds,
control the speed and timing of drug release, increase the bioavailability of
select compounds, and, efficiently provide for the site-specific delivery of
drugs. The Director, Formulation
/ Process Development will be responsible for trouble shooting the
optimization of new product formulation and processes. Specifically the director will work on
formulation / process development projects from initial prototype development
through transfer into a manufacturing site. The director will work closely with Quality
Assurance and Analytical Development to develop formulations and master batch
records for new controlled or sustained release product in the form of
tablets, capsules, suspensions and / or implantable systems. The ideal candidate will
possess a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacy or
related area. A minimum of 10+ years
of direct development experience with ethical drug products is also required. Experience in oral, controlled/sustained release
dosage form development and non-oral drug delivery systems is also necessary. [ back ]
