Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Scientific Officer An Exton, Pennsylvania-based emerging, innovative drug delivery company is seeking a Vice President of Research & Development/Chief Scientific Officer. This position will be responsible for leading the development and application of their technology platform. The Vice President of Research & Development / Chief Scientific Officer will report to the President & CEO, and be responsible for providing the leadership to several functional areas including Formulations, Controlled-Release Drug Delivery, New Product Development, Intellectual Property Development, Product Life Cycle Management, Process Development and Scale-Up, Manufacture Transfer, Regulatory and FDA Filings, Technology Licensing and Managing External Strategic Partnerships. The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in areas relevant to oral delivery and biopharmaceutical development. Additionally, they should have 10 years of high level pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience, and a strong knowledge of controlled-release drug delivery, and formulation dosage development and design.
