The Head of Business
Development for this Southern California
Pharmaceuticals company will be responsible for the identification and
evaluation of new business, product and technology opportunities, and the
successful negotiation of partnerships, alliances and licensing deals. This
position will also be responsible for managing due diligence, negotiating
transactions, and pursuing ongoing maintenance and growth of the company's
intellectual property portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated
senior management track record in business development for a biotech or
pharmaceutical company.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a B.S. degree in life
sciences. An advanced degree in the sciences or business (MBA) is
preferred. In addition, ten years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
experience, with at least five years in business development and marketing
functions is essential.
