Head of Commercial Manufacturing
The
Head of Commercial Manufacturing for this Mid-Atlantic based biotechnology
company will be responsible for developing and implementing an overall
commercial manufacturing and distribution strategy focused on using external
contractors to manufacture bulk and finished product for solid and liquid
dosage forms. The successful candidate
will identify, qualify, negotiate and monitor contract terms and deliverables
with external vendors as well as ensure that all logistics, quality and
manufacturing requirements are clearly communicated and implemented both
internally and externally. This
position will report to the Vice President of Research and Development. The
successful candidate will possess the following: �.
An Advanced Degree in the Sciences �.
Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in a
manufacturing environment �.
Previous commercial experience in solid dosage forms a
must �.
Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP’s, pre-approval inspection
and current regulations relating to post approval changes �.
Experience in the operations of container closure
procurement logistics, drug product packaging and supply chain management �.
Excellent leadership and people management skills and the
ability to build organizations and function in a project team environment [ back ]
