Vice President Research and Development The Vice President of Research and Development for this Boston based Pharmaceutical Company will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the company¹s drug development efforts. The position will be focused on delivering lead compounds through the discovery process and managing the transition into preclinical and clinical development phases. Specifically, this position will provide leadership to several multifunctional project teams; will investigate established lead compounds, as well as identify new technologies and product opportunities in the antibiotic field. The appropriate candidate will have a Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Medicinal Chemistry or related filed, with approximately ten years of pharmaceutical and/ or biotechnology industry experience. This individual should have a solid track record of successfully initiating and implementing drug development projects within an industrial research environment.
