Director of Pharmacology/Toxicology The Director of Pharmacology/Toxicology
for this West Coast client will be responsible for overseeing the development
of in vitro/in vivo models and the toxicology function. The Director will
contribute to short- and long-term strategies for this company's therapeutic
virus platform and small molecular programs and act as the coordinator for
all preclinical development ensuring close collaboration between Clinical
Research and Discovery Research. This position will also provide scientific
leadership to pre-clinical development and evaluate progress of on-going
projects to make recommendations about their further development. This successful candidate will have a Ph.D. with a specialty in either Virology, Pharmacology or Toxicology with a focus in the oncology therapeutic area. As well as, seven to ten years of postdoctoral experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry. In addition, this individual should have a very strong pharmacology and toxicology background with a demonstrated ability to move projects through preclinical development. [ back ]
