Current Searches Vice President, Product Safety This East Coast rapidly growing major biotechnology company is focused in the areas of infectious diseases, cancer and inflammatory diseases.  They possess a top-notch leadership team, a state-of- the-art research facility, a robust pipeline, and are set to invest over $300 million in R&D this year. The Vice President, Product Safety will direct responsibility for all elements of drug safety, including investigational and post-marketed drug safety as well as all aspects of pharmacovigilance. This role will serve as the corporate conscience for all drug safety functions; providing leadership to both the Clinical R&D and Medical Affairs on the safety aspects of all investigational drug programs as well as direct leadership to the drug surveillance function responsible for all SAE reporting. The successful candidate will be a board certified M.D. and have a minimum of 10-15 years of pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry experience. A minimum of five years experience in Product Safety with responsibility for both pre- and post-marketing safety is required. An in-depth knowledge of the FDA and international drug safety requirements as well as experience collaborating with regulatory authorities to complete necessary safety reporting and follow up measures is required. Outstanding leadership skills, as well as highly developed oral and written communication skills are required.
