Medical Director / Principal Investigator The Medical Director/Principal Investigator for this Maryland client will be responsible for providing medical oversight and scientific direction for all clinical studies and project teams in the area of human pharmacology, conducting, as appropriate, studies in pharmacokinetics (including absorption, bioavailability, distribution, metabolism, elimination and drug-drug interactions) and pharmacodynamics. This position will be the Principal Investigator on all in-house clinical trials. The incumbent will ensure that studies are completed in compliance with the requirements of our client, its Institutional Review Board, clients, the FDA and other regulatory agencies. Candidates must have an M.D. degree, with prior clinical research experience in a CRO (preferred), pharmaceutical industry or academic setting is required. Experience/training in Internal Medicine is preferred. Board Certification is required. Should have or be able to obtain Maryland Licensure. The successful candidate will have significant experience (minimum of 5 years) in clinical pharmacology and clinical research as a principal investigator or through prior industry experience.
