Senior Director, Worldwide Vector Development The Senior Director of Worldwide Vector Development for this global pharmaceutical client will be responsible for directing the short and long term strategies for vector development, gene transfer and delivery systems. This will include managing multiple sites worldwide in the development of new gene therapies with potential therapeutic applications. The Senior Director will lead a team in Preclinical Development (in-vitro and in-vivo models) of novel research ideas. This position will be responsible for reviewing progress of projects and making recommendations for the advancement of projects from conception to late stages of preclinical development. This position will serve as the central focal point and coordinator for all gene therapy research, ensuring close collaboration between Vector Development and the Therapeutic teams. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. with a focus in Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology or Virology; a minimum of five years of directly related industrial experience in discovery research in biotechnology and a proven track record in vector development and research projects in academia or industry.
