Vice President of Research The Vice President of Research for this Northeastern development-stage company will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the company's discovery efforts focused on identifying new technologies and product opportunities in the imaging agent field. Specifically, the Vice President of Research will provide leadership and direction to a multi-functional group of scientific disciplines including chemistry, pharmacology and biochemistry. This position is viewed as a key source of scientific expertise and leadership in the organization and plays a key role on the research management committees. The Vice President has responsibility for fostering a highly professional and productive scientific atmosphere focused on the discovery and development of novel imaging agents and approaches. The principal focus of the position will be to develop strategies to meet current and future research needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmacology or Biochemistry with broad research training in the sciences. The individual must be recognized as an outstanding scientist as evidenced by significant contributions in peer reviewed scientific literature, patents and presentations. The candidate will be an experienced manager and effective leader of scientific professionals. The individual should have a solid track record of successfully initiating, implementing and focusing projects in an industrial research environment on new therapeutic/diagnostic modalities. [ back ]
