Chief Executive Officer The Chief Executive Officer of this start-up genomics company based in the Northeast will be responsible for all direct interactions at the highest level of the company including the Board of Directors, Collaborators, Partners and Employees. The CEO will be responsible for setting the company's strategy, operating plans, hiring and developing key members of the management team and assuring the transfer of the technology from the founding scientists laboratory to the company's facility. In addition, the CEO will be responsible for establishing strategic alliances with potential partners. The company believes that its technology will enable it to identify most or all of the genes involved in causing a disease at once, rather than the current method of identifying them one by one, therefore, greatly shortening the time required to identify such genes. The ideal candidate must possess an advanced degree in a scientific discipline with a working knowledge of the genomics field; and have an innate ability to think strategically and possess a tremendous level of business savvy. Prior experience at a strategic management level of a start-up company or development-stage company would be desirable, as well as a track record of success in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
